Covid-19: Latest Overview Of Ulster, Sullivan Cases By Towns

There was one new fatality tied to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Sullivan County as cases there and in Ulster County continue to increase.

As of Tuesday, April 28, 2020, there have been 788 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sullivan, resulting in 22 deaths. In Ulster, there have been 1,294 positive cases, leading to the death of 24 area residents.

 In Sullivan, there are currently 1,175 COVID-19 patients in quarantine, while 986 were treated, self resolved, and are now out of isolation. In Ulster, there have been 4,856 patients who tested negative for COVID-19, while 280 have been treated at area hospitals and since released after showing no symptoms of the virus.

Statewide, there have been more than 295,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, which have resulted in a total of 16,559 deaths since the outbreak began, including 337 in the past 24 hours. The hospitalization rate for COVID-19 patients is down, though there were approximately 900 new patients in the past day.
